Terms of Service
Last updated: these terms govern your use of Off-Grid Marketplace. By creating an account or using the site you agree to them. If you don’t, please don’t use the service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. By using Off-Grid Marketplace you confirm both.
2. Your account
You’re responsible for the security of your account and for everything done under it. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access. One person, one account; don’t sell or transfer your account.
3. Listings and content
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting it, you grant Off-Grid Marketplace a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote it on the platform and in marketing of the platform. You confirm you have the rights to post it. You’re solely responsible for your listings being accurate, lawful, and non-infringing.
4. Prohibited conduct and items
The complete list lives at Prohibited Items. Short version: no illegal goods, no weapons, no controlled substances, no fraud, no harassment, no scraping, no spam. We may remove any listing or account at any time for any reason, especially these.
5. Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe. Marketplace purchases are between buyer and vendor; Off-Grid Marketplace facilitates but is not a party to the sale. Vendor refund policies apply to their own products. Subscription fees (agent and service-provider plans) are non-refundable for partial periods but can be cancelled at any time and will not renew.
6. Commissions and platform fees
Marketplace vendors agree to the commission rate posted at the time of sale (currently set in admin settings, payable to Off-Grid Marketplace from each transaction via Stripe Connect). Featured/highlight upgrade fees are non-refundable once the upgrade activates.
7. Intellectual property
The Off-Grid Marketplace name, logo, and original site code are owned by us. You may not copy or reuse them without permission. Content posted by users belongs to those users; respect copyright.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is.” We don’t guarantee accuracy of listings, availability of properties or products, or any specific outcome from using the site. We are not a real estate broker, a financial advisor, or a party to any private transaction between users.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Off-Grid Marketplace, its owners, and contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the greater of $100 or the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify Off-Grid Marketplace against claims arising from your listings, your conduct, or your violation of these terms.
11. Termination
You can close your account anytime. We can suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms.
12. Disputes
Disputes will be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except either party may bring a small-claims case in their home jurisdiction. You waive any right to a class action.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the site and by email to active accounts. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
